Manager Louis van Gaal feels that his team showed the world what they can do" with a 3-1 victory against Barcelona in the International Champions Cup as Wayne Rooney, Jesse Lingard and Adnan Januzaj were all in the score sheet for the Red Devils
as they defeat the treble Champions in Santa Clara, USA.
Van Gaal was quoted as saying to MUTV "You know what happened last year? We also beat the European champions
in Real Madrid, also 3-1, now we do the same against Barcelona... so
preparation matches don't tell anything,
It seems the United boss is keen to avoid taking such results too
seriously, with his focus on performance in the Premier League.
Van Gaal is also please to remain 100% perfect in Pre-season matches but look forward to Quality performance from the team when the EPL season finally kicks off. Van Gaal believes his team must deliver at the right moment and that is against Tottenham
Hotspur on the 8th of August, 2015.
