LVG believes in Waynes' ability


Louis van Gaal believes captain Wayne Rooney will come around for the team despite his failure to impress or put up a satisfactory performance...
Wayne Rooney is not just yet to score but also yet to step up his game ever his move to his new role at the club, playing as a lone striker rather than a midfield role, recording just one shot (off target) in the two 1-0 wins against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa and having just one touch in the opposing penalty area at Villa Park - in injury time.

Although United have pulled off a 100% start to the season, wining two from two premier league games, their performance on the pitch had fallen short of expectation

Louis van Gaal was quoted as saying in the Independent: 'It is amazing' that you are doubting Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney after just two matches"Speaking ahead of the Champions League qualifier against Club Brugge on Tuesday night, Van Gaal maintains he has faith in the striker to fire this season.

“I have always had confidence in my players but we don’t have only Wayne Rooney in the striker’s position - Van Gaal said.
