Manchester United will take on Championship side Ipswich Town at Old Trafford on Wednesday 23rd September in the capital one cup third round.
The teams last met in the competition at the same stage back in the 1997/98 season. Town last faced the Red Devils in the league back in the 2001/02 relegation season when United won 4-0 at Old Trafford.
Overall, the Blues have won 19 games between the sides (17 in the league) and the Red Devils 28 (24), while nine have been draws.
United's last appearance in the Capital One Cup ended with a 4-0 defeat at MK Dons in the second round last season.
They've won the competition four times, the last coming in 2010 against Aston Villa.
