Official: Herrera to start, and Fellaini to strike against Brugge

Manager Louis van Gaal has said he is going to give Ander Herrera his first start of the season against club Brugge in the second leg of the UCL play-off.

Herrera has come of the bench just twice this season to feature for United in the EPL following the recent additions of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin.

According to the Manchester Evening News, with United having taken a 3-1 lead to Belgium from last week's first leg, Van Gaal has decided to give the 26-year-old the opportunity to feature from the beginning of the clash.

Another notable change by Louis van Gaal is the use of Maourane Fellaini as a striker in today's game against Brugge meaning either Mata, Rooney or Januzaj will be coming in as a substitute.

Fellaini score the last goal of the first leg of the play-off to give United a 3 - 1 victory at Old Trafford last week.
