The manager of Club Brugge; Preud’homme says, eliminating Manchester United in the Champions league will require not just a perfect performance from his team but more of a miracle to see the club in the group stage of this year champions league.
The Belgium side have a lot to do on the pitch on Wednesday when they take on Louis van Gaals' Manchester United who are 90 minutes away from the group stage of the champions after a 3 - 1 victory over the Belgium side at old Trafford 7 days ago.
Coach Preud’homme struck a
pessimistic tone at his pre-match press conference. “It would be a great
miracle,” said the former Belgium goalkeeper. “They are two goals in front, and they (United) have a very professional team.
“To have a small chance we need to be better
in our last pass and if we have a chance, it has to be a goal. Sometimes you
have a small opening and if you don’t make the action very quickly, they are
all back. “If we want to have a chance, we need to put up a brilliant performance.
He went on to say that "To get a miracle, you need to be perfect and you need the other to not play at his best potential"
Manchester United will be without Antonio Valencia and David De Gea whose names were drop from the team list that will be travelling to Belgium for the match on Wednesday.
As for Louis van Gaal and Manchester United nothing will make them much happier than competing in this year UEFA Champions League.
