Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes will meet with Ed Woodward today to kick off the terms of negotiation of Mourinho's contract.
Last night United confirmed Louis van Gaal had been axed after he
spent almost eight hours negotiating his £5million severance fee after
being axed two years into the three-year contract he signed in 2014 at Carrington Headquarters.
Ex Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been lined up by United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward to replace the 64-year-old (Gaal) at Old Traford within the next 48hours.
The Portuguese who reside in London was pictured leaving his front door and entering into a
Range Rover this morning ahead of crunch negotiations with the United board.
An announcement confirming his appointment is expected later in the evening today if the terms of the negotiation is positive and favorable to both parties, but if not, then the negotiations could drag later into the week until a mega-money deal is finalized.
He [Mourinho] is expected to take a
£15million-a-year deal, which would make him the joint highest paid boss
in the world, at a par with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
