Gary Neville is wanted by Mourinho

Rumor has it that Jose Mourinho wants former Manchester United legend and current England assistant manager Gary Neville back at Manchester United as management staff.

United who is yet to announce Jose Mourinho as its new manager is assembling a backroom team of coaches to help him take Manchester United back to the top flight in the seasons to come and no doubt Gary Neville can be said to be one of those such coaches.

At United, Neville came through the club’s academy, making 602 appearances, captaining the club and winning more than 15 major trophies.

The ex-Chelsea boss believes it’s important that there are staff members who understand the club’s values and Gary Neville he (Mourinho) believes will ad value to the backroom staff and the club.

Brian Kidd is another, less popular, contender who could return to Old Trafford after working with Manchester City in various roles since 2009.
